Thunder VR
Mobile VR: We come to you where you are!
We will come to you anywhere in Northwestern Ontario (or anywhere else)!
We can drive. We can fly.
-
VR is "Virtual Reality"
- A Virtual Reality headset is basically two screens, one in front of each eye, which gives 3D viewing of content. Because they are near the eyes, they give the feeling of being 'IN' the experience
- Normally, when we travel to communities, we focus on games for the kids (8 yrs +) and youth.
- We have four VR stations. Typically we give 25 minutes for each child, and provide you with a sign-up sheet for kids to sign up in groups of four at a time.
- The games are geared to age groups, starting at 8+ and continuing to adult, depending on your own preference for your community or group.
- Typically, older groups, such as teens, play Arizona Sunshine, which is a team game, where four people cooperate to defend their own lives from Zombies while trying to escape a warehouse. There are other versions.
- Younger kids typically play Elven Assassin where four people cooperate to defend their Elven Village from orcs with bows and arrows, or a game called Private Property, where four people defend their Western Town from zombies with pistols, shotguns and grenade launchers.
- There are many other multiplayer games such as BattleSky and Skyfront which involve fighting each other, while flying over a floating city, or HyperDash, which is ground based Player vs. Player. or Team Death Match.
- We also have one or two player games, such as Sam and Dan's (escape room), Job Simulator (interactive), and SuperHOT VR (time-altering shooter).
- There are in fact, many games, but the above mentioned games make for the best Thunder VR Mobile operations.
-
We come to you
- We can drive or fly out of Thunder Bay to your community
- We set up inside a room that is at least 30' x 30'. This will allow four people to play, each having at least 10' to 12' square with which to play.
- The multiplayer experiences allow the four players to play together in the same game. They will see each other and talk to each other.
- Generally, eight people play per hour, in two groups of four, playing 25 minutes each. For example, over five hours, 40 people can play for 25 minutes each.
-
When we come to your community
- We need a room that is at least 28' by 28'.
- We need some electricity. One dedicated outlet should be sufficient.
- We need a stable internet connection.
- We need four small tables.
- For multi-day events, we need security for the equipment overnight
- For remote fly-in communities, we need accommodations of some sort, and transportation to and from the airport and the gaming location.
